Ingredients:
6 oz. Fettuccine
1/4 Cup butter
2 Tablespoon flour
1/2 Cup Half & Half
1/2 Cup water
1/2 Cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
2 Teaspoon parsley flakes
1/2 Teaspoon pepper
1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 Teaspoon poppy seeds
1/4 Teaspoon salt
Cook fettuccine according to package directions, omitting salt: drain. Melt butter in heavy saucepan over low heat: add flour: stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly. Gradually add half & half and water, cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture is thick and bubbly. Stir in parmesan cheese and remaining ingredients. Toss with fettuccine. Serve immediately. Yield is 2 servings

This is a recipe for an Italian meat sauce that simmers for several hours before it is ready to serve. We serve the spaghetti topped with fresh parmesan cheese, and sometimes sautéed fresh mushrooms.
