Hungarian Goulash

Ingredients:

2 Med. onions, sliced

2 Green peppers, sliced or chopped

Butter

2 Lbs. hamburger

1 Tablespoon chili powder

Salt & pepper

2 Cups uncooked macaroni

1 Can cream style corn

1 Can tomatoes

1 Cup catsup

1/2 Lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated

1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder

 

 

Sauté onions & peppers in butter. Remove from pan, drain. Brown meat seasoned with chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste in same skillet. Cook macaroni and drain. Cover bottom of greased baking dish with part of meat and cover with macaroni. Alternate with layers of peppers & onions, corn ,remaining meat, tomatoes, ketchup and bake 350’ for 45 minutes. Top with cheese and bake until cheese is brown.  Yield 16 to 20 servings.
