Ingredients:
1/2 Cup sugar
1/4 Cup water
3 Tablespoon strawberry jam
2 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
1 Pint basket of strawberries, stemmed and halved
In medium saucepan combine sugar, water and jam. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes just to a boil. Meanwhile, mix juice with cornstarch. Stir in sugar mixture. Cook until slightly thickened. Mix in strawberries, heat thoroughly but do not cook. Serve with waffles, pancakes or French toast .
