1 Cup molasses
2 Tablespoons vinegar
5 Cups sifted flour
1 1/2 Teaspoons soda

Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly. Stir in egg, molasses and vinegar. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Stir into molasses mixture. Chill 3 hours. Roll 1/8 inch thick and cut with gingerbread boy cutter. Place 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet. Use red hots for buttons. Bake 375 for 6 minutes. Makes 8 dozen small boys. Put hole in head before baking to hang on Christmas tree.

Peanut Butterfinger Chunk Cookies
Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies
These are self trimming cookies that are moist and chewy. We make dozens and freeze them before the holidays. They can then be taken out of the freezer as needed. Fresh homemade cookies are minutes away! This recipe came from a high school classmate, Sherry!
