Ingredients:
3/4 Cup shortening
1 Cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 Egg
1/4 Cup water
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Cup sifted flour
1 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon soda
3 Cups Mothers Oats (uncooked)
Place shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla in mixing bowl. Beat thoroughly. Sift together flour, salt, and soda. Add to shortening mixture and mixing well blend in oats. Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
Add 1 six ounce package semi-sweet chocolate pieces and 1/2 cup nuts with oats.
Sift 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg with the flour. Add 1 Cup raisins with oats.
