Pudding Ingredients:
18 slices white French bread in pieces
4 oz. raisins
1 qt. milk
7 oz. sugar
8 eggs
1 Tablespoons vanilla
Mix all ingredients except bread. Pour over bread and put in baking dish. Place baking dish in pan with water about 2 “ deep and bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
Tip: We use half and half instead of milk
Vanilla Custard Sauce Ingredients:
3 egg yolks
1/2 Cup sugar
1 1/2 Cups cream
vanilla
Beat egg yolks and sugar until well blended. Add cream and vanilla and cook in microwave until thick. Beat smooth. Add a little rum or brandy and serve over bread pudding.
