Ingredients:
1 Cup Sugar
6 Tablespoon water
2 Teaspoons cream of tarter
1/2 Cup plus 2 Tablespoon whipping cream
1/4 Cup unsalted butter
Cook sugar, water and cream tarter in heavy medium saucepan over med. low heat, stirring till sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium high and cook without stirring until syrup turns deep golden brown, swirling pan occasionally. Remove from heat. Gradually add cream (mixture will bubble vigorously and stir until smooth. Add butter and whisk until melted. Can be made 1 Day ahead. Cover and refrigerate-heat over low heat before serving. Serve over chocolate cake and ice cream.
