Taylor's favorite cake is the Carrot Cake. We make it with the baby food, because it is easier and just as good as with the grated carrots. It is frosted with a creamy cream cheese frosting.
The German Sweet Chocolate Cake cake is another family favorite. We've found that it is almost as good, and a lot less work to use a German chocolate cake mix, and then use the frosting and filling recipes! No one will ever know.
The Coconut Sheet Cake is very good. It is a sheet cake that has a cocoanut frosting that drizzles into the cake! Yummy! The Lemon Cake is another sheet cake where a lemony frosting drizzles into the cake. You will enjoy both of these.
If you like banana bread, you will like the Hummingbird Cake. It is banana bread with pineapple and a cream cheese frosting.
An easy Bundt cake is the Poppy Seed Bundt Cake. It is made with a mix, but you would never know it.
The Prune Cake with Glaze is a good fall winter cake. It is moist, spicy, and freezes well.
The Date Pudding with Brandy Sauce is a rich dessert that we always make for the holidays. The brandy sauce makes it!!
If you like fruit cakes, Mom suggests Aunt Mabel's Fruit Cake. It is full of raisins and dates, and doesn't have citrus in it. The Lemon Fruit Cake, is also made without citrus, and is a light fruitcake with cherries, pineapple and a mild lemon flavor. If you are not sure about fruit cakes, try this one!

This is my son's all time favorite cake, and the most requested cake for a birthdays around our house... When Taylor was a toddler, he called it "chocolate mustards cake". Don't ask me how it got that name!
This is a recipe from Carolea, my mother's cousin! If you like pumpkin, you will enjoy this cake! It is a good option for Thanksgiving or Christmas!
